The Department of Urology at the University of Florida College of Medicine is seeking a BC/BE Urologist at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level for a full-time, non-tenure faculty position.Background:

The University of Florida (UF) Department of Urology is the premier academic urology training program in the state of Florida. Located at UF Health Shands Hospital, a tertiary referral center serving the population of north central Florida, southern Georgia, and surrounding communities. The candidate would join a mature practice within the department, which has 20 additional urologists supporting general, endourology, oncology, pediatric, and reconstructive urologic surgery. The University of Florida is ranked 5th among public schools in the nation. UF College of Medicine is one of 16 colleges within the university, providing an environment rich in cross-departmental collaborations.Clinical:

We seek a candidate with broad experience in all aspects of open, minimally invasive (laparoscopic/DaVinci robotic), and endoscopic treatments for general urologic conditions. The candidate will cover both office and surgical treatment of general and small urologic cases. The candidate will join a robust multidisciplinary team of physicians, including fellowship-trained urologic oncologists and pediatric urologists. Additionally, the candidate will have the opportunity to serve as a mentor and teacher for UF urology fellows, residents, and medical students from UF Health Shands Hospital at the UF College of Medicine. Resources include four daVinci robotics, UroNav MRI-US fusion prostate biopsy technology, a urologic oncology nurse navigator, and two advanced practice providers trained in urology.Research:

For candidates interested in pursuing research, the UF College of Medicine offers excellent intramural funding opportunities in addition to traditional government funding mechanisms. The UF College of Medicine is ranked in the top 50 of all U.S. medical schools for NIH research dollars and is ranked No. 35 among public institutions and No. 1 in Florida. Protected time for research is available for qualified candidates. Mentorship from experienced faculty will be provided for candidates without prior independent research experience. Strong interest and participation in clinical trials are required and will be conducted in conjunction with the UF Clinical and Translational Science Institute and UF Cancer Center.Advertised Salary:
