Viterbo University is accepting applications for a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor of Nursing starting in the Spring semester of 2025. This is a 9-month position with full benefits and is tenure-track. Nursing faculty work collaboratively with the School of Nursing (SoN) to assure evidence-based teaching and program quality, and to uphold accreditation standards that promote integrity and accountability. Faculty shall be appointed by the Vice President for Academic Affairs based on the recommendation of the Dean of the College of Nursing, Health.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:GeneralDemonstrates a commitment to the mission, philosophy, values, and goals of Viterbo University and the SoN.Implements the policies of the University and the SoN.Participates in SoN program assessment evaluation processes.Participates in student advising activities.Demonstrates collaborative relationships with internal and external communities of interest.Assists with the recruitment and retention of qualified students.TeachingAccepts accountability for facilitating effective teaching/learning activities in the didactic and/or clinical settings.Prepares content and syllabi for assigned courses according to SoN curricular plans and program outcomes.Demonstrates expertise in developing, conducting, and evaluating essential learning experiences within the didactic and/or clinical settings.Conducts course assessment activities to evaluate and enhance student learning.Makes recommendations for resource acquisitions.ServiceShares talents as a resource person/mentor to colleagues and/or students.Participates in School, College, and University committees.Participates in ongoing quality improvement/accreditation activities.Engages in community and University service activities.Participates in local, state, and national professional organizations.Scholarly workParticipates in scholarly activities according to the Viterbo University School of Nursing Faculty Performance Evaluation Criteria.Engages in life-long learning.Carries out other responsibilities as delegated or assigned.General Requirements/Qualifications:

Meets the requirements for faculty of Viterbo University, the SoN, the Wisconsin Board of Nursing, and relevant for national accrediting bodies. Other qualifications include:Master's degree in Nursing required.Unencumbered nursing license in the practicing state required.Microsoft Office proficiency preferred.Excellent written and/or oral communication skills required.Excellent management/supervisory skills required.Must be authorized to work in the United States. Viterbo University is unable to sponsor or take over the sponsorship of the Employment Visa.Physical Demands:
