We remain committed to working each day to examine systemic, institutional, and individual biases in order to dismantle systems of inequities that will enable all students to thrive.As a teacher in SSFUSD, responsibilities include but are not limited to:Providing exceptional instruction, aligned to the Portrait of a Graduate, including:Developing rigorous lessons aligned to grade and subject level California State Common Core StandardsSetting ambitious goals with students and monitoring their progress while encouraging them through frequent and persistent feedbackTracking student growth, using data and feedback, and creating individualized student plans when there are areas of concernBuilding relationships with students and families by providing regular and consistent communicationCreating a physical classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for physical, social, and emotional development of studentsFacilitating learning experiences for students that are engaging and rigorousCollaborating with other teachers and school leaders on daily lessons, school-wide programs, and individualized student plansMeeting regular deadlines for daily lesson plans, submitting grades, and work samplesWorking on a team of teachers and school leaders to provide consistency, support, and accountability to all studentsEngaging in professional developmentCompleting supervision duties on campus, such as morning duty, lunch duty, dismissal, and afterschool dutyEngaging with and participating in the greater school community through attending events and activitiesPerforming additional duties as assignedRequirementsMust haves:Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or universityCalifornia or Out-of-State Single Subject Teaching Credential - Social Science (Intern Credential accepted)Belief in and commitment to the mission and vision of SSFUSDAbility to design and implement rich, engaging, and culturally relevant teaching unitsKnowledge of California State Common Core StandardsAbility to differentiate lessons for learners with different assetsA dedication to learn, grow, and develop as a professionalRequirements for the application:Updated resumeTranscripts of your undergraduate degree, and graduate degrees if applicable. Unofficial transcripts are acceptable for application purposes only.Test results: Please attach California Subject Examinations for Teachers (CSET) results and evidence of meeting Basic Skills Requirement, such as California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST), Praxis, Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or American College Test (ACT) results.Proof of English Learner (EL) Authorization or Cross-cultural, Language, and Academic Development (CLAD) Certificate or letter of appeasement from university where certificate is being pursuedProof of credential or enrollment in credentialing program - attachment should either include number assigned by California Commission on Teaching Credentialing (CTC) or letter of appeasement from university where credential is being pursuedPlease note that if you are extended an offer from SSFUSD, you will also need to complete the following

Hearing and speaking to exchange information. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a keyboard. Sitting and standing for extended periods of time. Office environment with some travel between District sites. Drive a vehicle to conduct work. May be required to use a personal vehicle.HAZARDS:
