Now hiring Storm Coverage Security Officers for hospitals in Tallahassee, FL!*** This is a pre-deployment list for personnel interested in being contacted for a position on the AUS hurricane response team. This job posting is not for immediate employment. Work hours and schedules will be available after a storm makes landfall in the Florida Region. ***DEPLOYMENT OFFICERS SIGN-UP LIST, POST HURRICANE!$20 per hour unarmed (must have active D license)Weekly Pay (12 hour shifts: $2,650 per week armed)Must have an Active State of Florida D license (G license for Armed work)Will be hired ASAP to assist with Hurricane deployment and aftermathTemporary to Permanent Positions availableMust be able to travel to any area in FloridaCompany will provide transportation/ Food/ and lodging along with $57 daily per diem. Per diem will be issued via direct deposit for out of area deployments.Must be able to work 12 to 14 hour shifts up to 14 daysMust have two forms of Government issued identification and be at least 25+ years of ageLOTS OF OVERTIME for this post storm deployment!!!Requirements:

Valid Drivers License With Clean Driving Record (In The Event Of A Driver Needed) Or Government/State IDMust have 2 Years verifiable employment history relating to this position - (Security, Healthcare, Customer Service, Military, Law Enforcement, Corrections)Natural Hair ColorNo Face/Neck TattoosComfortable with Restraining When Needed, Dealing With Combative PatientsComfortable Transporting Patients To The Morgue When NeededComfortable with heights (you may need to assist in helicopter transports back down to the E.R)Comfortable with needles (you will need a TB test and required vaccinations where applicable)Job Duties:

Transporting Patients To The Emergency RoomPatrolling: Walking the hospital grounds and looking for anything suspicious or concerningReporting: Notifying leadership or other security officers of anything importantControlling access: Ensuring that only authorized people can enter and exit the hospital, and that no contraband or hospital items are brought in or outPreventing crime: Trying to stop criminal activity, such as theft, vandalism, and disturbancesResponding to emergencies: Helping with evacuations during fires, medical emergencies, and natural disastersManaging issues: Addressing security issues with patients or visitors, and using verbal de-escalation skills to resolve safety incidentsMaintaining confidentiality: Being discreet when handling private informationThe primary responsibility is to deter crime and provide order and control during the shift within the boundaries of the assigned post. This Security Professional patrols the facility or stands a post as instructed and serves as a general security presence and visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions; detects suspicious activities; watches for criminal acts or client rule infractions at or near assigned post. This position responds to all incidents as dispatched providing assistance as needed, protecting personnel and property within reason and securing the incident scene until properly relieved. This position conducts initial investigation of incidents and is responsible for completing all appropriate reports.Qualifications/Requirements:

At least 18 years of age; 21 for Armed or Taser positions.High school diploma, College Degree, or GED. Education must be verifiable through the background vendor. (Certificates of Course Completion not acceptable).Must have 5 years of work experience within the last 5 years, with a minimum of 2 years verifiable work history.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and Drug Screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. (No open/pending charges acceptable)Valid guard card/license, as required in the state for which you are applying.Driving Positions Only: Must possess a valid Driver's License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle required.Must possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the public in a professional and effective manner; must be able to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelinesMust be able to frequently prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting; may require computer skillsAs a condition of continued employment, employee must always maintain current active status of all required License, and must always carry the license while on dutyAbility to handle both common and crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficientlyAnswer phones or greet guests / employees in a professional, welcoming mannerRead, understand, and clearly speak English; constantly use speech and hearing in communicating with public/co-workers, giving and receiving instructions, using phonesMust be able to handle pressure of working with high volume general public (constantly to occasionally depending on assignment)Grooming/Uniform Standards:

The uniform will be clean and worn properly, in a professional manner at all times the uniform is worn.No visible face or neck tattoos.Fingernails cannot be no longer than 1 inch from the tip of the finger.The client's ID badge will be worn at all times while on client property in accordance with site policy.Footwear must be slip resistant.If N-95 masks are required by site, Facial hair will not allow for proper wear of a particulate mask.CDC Hand Hygiene Standards will be adhered to at all times.Perfumes or cologne, or other smells which could impact patients with respiratory ailments, will not be worn in excess.Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will be worn as appropriate to job roles and duties performed.The use of personal electronic devices is prohibited while on post/patrol except in designated areas specified by client policy.Physical and Mental Functions:

Climb and descend stairs to all floors of the hospital in the event elevators are not accessible due to mechanical issues or emergency situations.Occasionally bend/twist at waist/knees/neck to perform various duties.Assist in lifting patients as needed to either assist nursing staff or help transport expired patients.Restrain violent/combative patients to prevent injuries to themselves and others.Run as needed.Closing
