Title
Data ScientistKBR is seeking a highly qualified Data Scientist to provide support for the NRO Mission Operations Directorate (MOD). MOD operates, maintains, and reports the status of intelligence satellites and their associated ground systems, provides defensive space control and space protection, monitors satellite flight safety, and provides space situational awareness. This effort includes support to innovation labs developing new tools, models, and algorithms to operate and exploit satellite space and ground systems.Responsibilities
Ability to work with the unknown by using more advanced data techniques to make predictions of future outcomes.Use of automating ML algorithms or designing predictive modeling processes that can manipulate both structured and unstructured data.Gathering, cleaning, and processing raw data; designing predictive models and machine learning algorithms to mine big data sets.Developing tools and processes to monitor and analyze data accuracy.Building data visualization tools, dashboards, and reports.Writing programs to automate data collection and processing.Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related quantitative science field.3-5 years of experience addressing data uncertainty by using more advanced data techniques to make predictions about the future.Ability to automate machine learning algorithms or design predictive modeling processes that can address both structured and unstructured data.Ability to gather, clean, and process raw data.Ability to design predictive models and machine learning algorithms to mine big data sets.Ability to develop tools and processes to monitor and analyze data accuracy; building data visualization tools, dashboards, and reports; writing programs to automate data collection and processing.Active TS/SCI with CI polygraph.KBR is an equal opportunity employer.
