Principal InvestigatorPOSITION OVERVIEW:Applications are invited for the position of postdoctoral fellow at the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute (LTRI). The successful candidate will join the group led by Dr. Ramalho-Santos in the field of mammalian developmental epigenetics.The lab is interested in the epigenetic control systems that govern early mammalian development and pluripotent stem cell biology. Our projects aim to:Dissect regulation of hypertranscription during development.Investigate the systems that sense environmental perturbations in embryos.We adopt approaches involving methods in transcriptomics, epigenomics, functional genomics, and bioinformatics to mouse models, embryonic stem cell systems, and mouse/human embryo models.
REQUIREMENTS:This fellowship is suitable for candidates who have a doctoral degree in a biomedical research field. Preference will be given to candidates with experience and a publication record in one or more of the following: Developmental Biology, Fertilization, Pre-Implantation Development, Pluripotency, Germline Development, Embryonic and Adult Stem Cell Biology, DNA Methylation, Chromatin Biology, Non-Coding RNAs, Epigenomics, Transgenerational Epigenetic Inheritance, Functional Genomics, Genome Editing, Transposon Biology, Nuclear Dynamics, and Bioinformatics.INSTITUTES:The Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute (LTRI) of Sinai Health System is one of Canada’s leading biomedical research institutes. At LTRI, the Women’s and Infant’s Health Research group comprises multi-disciplinary scientists specialized in research in reproductive health sciences. The Institute provides a research-intensive environment with modern and innovative core facilities that include proteomics, single-cell and spatial genomics platforms, robotics, and imaging that drive technology development and are housed in the Network Biology Collaborative Centre.
