link/button.Sinclair seeks to attract an academically and culturally diverse faculty that carries out the mission of the college with dedication, innovation, and a commitment to the success of each student.Sinclair is currently seeking part-time (adjunct) faculty for day, evening, online, and weekend courses at our downtown Dayton campus; Courseview campus in Mason, OH; and Englewood, Huber Heights, and Centerville Learning Centers.Principal Accountabilities
Plan and organize instruction in ways which maximize student learningPrepare, distribute and submit syllabi for all assigned sections in accordance with department and divisional policiesEmploy appropriate teaching and learning strategies, use available instructional technology when appropriateModify, where appropriate, instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse student’s needsSupport classroom and online efforts to promote student successEvaluate and return student work in a timely manner to promote learningMaintain accurate records of student progressSubmit final grade rosters according to established deadlinesMaintain confidentiality of student informationCannot exceed teaching maximum of 12 credit hours per semesterRequirements
Ohio State Bar license is requiredDocumented experience working with paralegals is requiredEvidence of successful prior teaching experience in a community college or university preferredA demonstrated commitment to improving student learning through innovative strategies shown to help students succeed at the course and program levelThe capacity to work successfully in a culturally diverse college communitySupplemental Questions
