Mission:

Fosters, directly and indirectly, by action, example and training, a comprehensive safety program throughout the Portland Large Parts Campus. Monitors potential health and safety conditions of the workplace; identifies problems, recommends solutions, and ensures that the ongoing safety system is corrected to incorporate the changes...Primary Duties & ResponsibilitiesUse our global database to implement an effective safety performance tracking and measurement system...Leads line supervision and Safety team members in the development of required revisions to existing procedures, rules, and regulations.Keeps abreast with technical developments and OSHA related regulations...Serves as an advisor to safety committees at multiple locations.Assists with management of change on new or proposed changes in process...Collaborates with supervision in the administration of the Light Duty Work Program...Drives safety requirements to project managers regarding outside contractor's safety requirements.Maintains knowledge of the Corporate Loss Control Program, manuals, rules, and regulations...Assists and advises training of job procedures, basic training, new and transfer job orientation...Required Skills and QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 4-6 years of related and progressively more complex experience.Required transportation with a valid Driver's LicensePreferred Certifications or knowledge: OSHA 30, HAZWOPER 40, Hazard Identification, Hot-work knowledge...This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws...
