Responsibilities
Maintain and repair boat electrical systems and communications equipment to include but not limited to:Running lightsBattery systemGENTEX communication boxesUHF and VHF tactical communications equipmentSatellite communications (SATCOM)110A AlternatorsBattery IsolatorsFuruno radar displays and radomeVIC 3 and VIC 5 Communications systemsLINK 16Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Have extensive knowledge of technical requirements.Ability to identify complex problems and solutions.Ability to supervise lower-level employees.Required Qualifications
U.S. CitizenSecret ClearanceHigh school diploma or equivalent vocational degree or general educational diploma.5-10 years' general experience in their respective trade and at least 3 consecutive years of experience repairing and troubleshooting the aforementioned boat electrical systems and communication equipment.Be able to read electrical drawings and schematics for patrol craft electrical systems.Ability to perform service in accordance with applicable OEM tech manuals.Familiarity with Navy Boat Information Book (BIB) and drawings.
