Overview:As an applied scientist, you'll work at the intersection between research and product. You'll build, optimize, and deploy machine learning models as well as scale them up. We’re looking for people who love machine learning and computer science, are interested in the theory behind the models, and are motivated to solve real-world problems with techniques that are scalable, efficient, and reliable in production.
The ideal candidate is someone who has conducted and applied machine learning research of substantial practical importance. This position entails designing and executing large-scale experiments on complex infrastructure, requiring strong experimental intuition and programming skills. Beyond that, you need to be kind, courteous, motivated, self-starting, honest and responsible.
Background:This role is with the UiPath advanced machine learning research group. We focus on building large multi-modal models that can take action and move us closer to useful general intelligence. We are machine learning researchers and engineers working to solve the hard problem of getting machines to use software like humans do.
What you'll do at UiPath:
Use machine learning & deep learning techniques to create new, scalable solutions for business problems
Develop NLP, NLU, NLG, NER, computer vision models and technologies for acquiring, parsing, interpreting and visualizing structured and unstructured data
Run regular benchmarking tests and perform statistical analysis, draw conclusions on the impact of your research-based optimizations to provide thought-leadership to the team
Study and extract relevant information from large amounts of data to help in automating workflows and optimizing key processes
Assist the team in building large-scale online learning systems
Help the team to build research to production pipelines
Stay current with the latest research and technology and communicate your knowledge throughout the enterprise
What you'll bring to the team:
MS or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field
1+ years of experience building statistical and machine learning models for forecasting
1+ years of experience in Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence
Experience with two or more general-purpose programming languages: Java, C/C++/C# or Python
Experience with one or more of the following: Natural Language Processing, test understanding, machine reading comprehension, classification, pattern recognition, recommendation systems, ranking systems or similar
Experience with TensorFlow or Pytorch
General knowledge of robotic process automation
Pay Transparency:The anticipated base salary range for this position is between $200,200 and $289,900. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location and relevant experience, education, certifications, and seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. There is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.
