Health & Safety Manager
based in our Minot, North Dakota location. This position will help to implement, maintain and enforce safety and compliance policies within our US Operations. Responsibilities will include:Performing documented worksite inspectionsImplementation of Policies and Procedures that ensure consistent service delivery that is safe and efficientDevelop and train personnel; provide coaching, mentoring and training through engagement and inclusionCollaborate with Senior Management to set organizational health & safety goals for the companyLiaise with team members to create needs assessments and gap analyses to identify opportunities for various types of safety-related programsConduct investigations of workplace incidents, accidents, injuries and job safety concerns and make recommendations to correct any issues and apply preventative measures to avoid future issuesEnsure that federal and local safety laws, regulations, codes and rules are observed and that appropriate record-keeping is maintainedMaintain awareness of developments and advancements in the health & safety fieldProvide expertise and training to all employees on issues related to safetyMaintain OSHA 300 logBe on-call for incidents and emergenciesMonitor and enforce Colter’s Drug and Alcohol policy including the random drug and alcohol program (EBT and Collector certification a plus)ABOUT YOUFive years of directly-related safety management experienceThorough knowledge of applicable health and safety rules and regulationsWorking knowledge of the maintenance of regulatory systemsKnowledge in the use of computers and software packages for data analyses, report and presentation preparation, including experience with Microsoft Office and Outlook; ability to learn new systemsDirect experience in evaluating information in relation to compliance standardsSelf-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision in the office and on-field assignmentsAbility to work in a team, demonstrating leadership and organizational capabilitiesEffective verbal and written communication skillsVeriforce Instructor credentials (Safeland Orientation, H2s Clear) preferred1st Aid certification (instructor preferred)This is a full-time, Monday to Friday, exempt positionSome travel will be required, however applicant must live within driving distance of Minot, North DakotaPre-employment Drug & Alcohol screens are required for all Safety Sensitive PositionsABOUT USColter Energy LP (Colter) has successfully delivered innovative energy services since 2003 and is dedicated to problem-solving and getting the job done safely and efficiently.
