Adjunct Faculty
members who are subject matter experts in
Social Sciences .UMPI is a public institution for competency-based education (CBE) accredited by New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE). The YourPace degree programs are self-paced, student-driven, student-centered, subscription-based competency-education model that primarily serves adult learners. YourPace allows high flexibility for students without compromising academic quality.YourPace invites applicants to be Adjunct Faculty members to be Instructors of Record and/or develop courses from a wide range of disciplines and professional skills for undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Teaching assignments may begin at any of our six or eight-week session start dates per year. YourPace seeks subject matter experts in the following areas:Criminal Justice
Drug PolicyEthicsJuvenile Justice and DelinquencyCriminal ProcedurePolice and PolicingPunishment and CorrectionEtc.Professional Communication
Magazine and Feature WritingBusiness CommunicationEtc.Social Work
Multiculturalism, Diversity, and InclusionEthicsPsychosocial RehabilitationSocial Welfare and Policy IssuesCase ManagementCrisis InterventionEtc.Introduction to SociologyTheoretical CriminologyEtc.All YourPace competencies are fully online and asynchronous, and interpersonal interactions with students are expected. YourPace Adjunct Faculty are compensated based on agreements as per the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreements/MOU.Applications will be reviewed continuously. Your application will be valid for 12 months after submission.Qualifications
Minimum QualificationsYourPace Adjunct Faculty for undergraduate degree programs must have at minimum, a master’s degree from an accredited institution, and/or significant work experience in a related field.YourPace Adjunct Faculty for graduate degree programs must have a Doctorate, terminal, advanced degree in field of study, and/or significant work experience in a related field.Preferred QualificationsExperience teaching at the college-levelOnline teaching experienceTeaching in a competency-based education modelTechnology Requirements : YourPace Adjunct Faculty are required to have the appropriate technology to teach in a fully online environment. This includes, but is not limited to:Computer (laptop) with appropriate amounts of processing speedHigh-speed internet connectionWebcamMicrophoneTo apply, click on "Apply Now"
