Faculty - Health ProfessionsEssential Job Functions:Introduction to laboratory setting and reviews of professional behavior in the laboratory.Reviews the ultrasound system including features and functions of both imaging and physiologic equipment.Assures proper care and cleaning of laboratory equipment including stretchers and computer equipment.Develops lesson plans in coordination with didactic instructors.Develops schedules and rotations for student in the lab.Designs proper imaging and testing protocols for students.Develops testing guidelines for testing competency including midterm and final examination.Assists in clinical site visits and evaluations.Provides tutoring for students when required.Assists other faculty as required.Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals.Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.Ability to effectively present information to students, public groups, or professional organizations.Ability to work with appropriate mathematical concepts specific to the particular discipline.Ability to apply concepts to practical situations.Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.) and a variety of abstract and concrete variables simultaneously.Adaptability and willingness to teach courses and/or perform special duties as assigned.Job Requirements:Required Certifications/Licensures:
Candidate must be a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT).Required Education:
Bachelor's DegreeRequired Experience:Candidate must be registered in Vascular Sonography (through ARDMS, CCI, and/or ARRT).Minimum one year of clinical experience.Must obtain a Master's Degree in Education, Sciences, or other related area of specialization within five years of employment.Is this a safety sensitive position?
