Career Opportunities with Farmers Restaurant GroupA great place to work.Careers At Farmers Restaurant GroupShare with friends or Subscribe!Current job opportunities are posted here as they become available.Subscribe to our RSS feeds to receive instant updates as new positions become available.SERVERS - Earn up to $1,000-$1,500 per week!Pay rate: $10/hr + Tips!NOW HIRING: Full time and part timeWe are located in walking distance to the Convention Center and Chinatown!BENEFITS + PERKS:Health insurance plans available for as low as $100 per mth after 90 days of employment!Dental and vision plansPaid time offPaid pregnancy and parental leaveFree access to company massage therapistDiscounted gym & yoga membershipFree online mental health therapy (unlimited text messaging and two optional 30-minute live video therapy sessions per month) through our partner, TalkSpace, for all employees and their immediate family membersTraining and career growth opportunitiesFree Employee Assistance ProgramWHAT OUR SERVERS DO:Take orders from guests for food and/or beveragesCheck with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problemsCheck identification of our guests to ensure that they meet minimum-age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beveragesWrite food orders on order slips (or memorize orders) and enter orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staffPrepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxesCollect payments from customersRemove dishes and glasses from tables or counters and take them to kitchen for cleaningServe food and/or beverages to guests and prepare or serve specialty dishes at tables, as requiredClean tables or counters throughout guest visit and when they have finished their mealPrepare tables for meals, including setting up items, such as linens, silverware, and glasswareExplain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methodsDescribe and recommend menu selections and wine pairings to customersBring wine selections to tables with appropriate glasses and pour the wine for customersAssist host by answering phones to take reservations or To Go orders, as well as greet, seat, and thank guestsInform guests of daily specialsPrepare hot, cold, and mixed drinks for patrons, and chill bottles of wineRoll silverware, set up food stations, or set up dining areas to prepare for the next shift or for large partiesStock service areas with supplies, such as coffee, food, tableware, and linensFill salt, pepper, sugar, cream, condiments, and napkin containersProvide guests with information about local areas, including giving directionsWHAT YOU NEED TO BE A SERVER:One year of experience working in full or quick service dining requiredMust be 18 years old due to service of alcoholExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds, as neededCapable of continuous bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, and use of hands and armsOur Servers are experienced, confident, and capable of providing exceptional hospitality in a busy restaurant environment. They have extensive depth of knowledge about our scratch-made food and drink, can tour guide guests through our menus with ease, and are integral to creating a welcoming, clean, and relaxed experience for our guests.
