Candidates will have a strong counselor identity, commitment to multiculturalism and diversity, and vibrant, maturing Christian faith.Position Duties & ResponsibilitiesPosition duties include, but are not limited to:Creating a learning environment inclusive of diverse cultural, social, economic, and educational backgrounds.Providing instruction for courses as assigned.Supervising student clinical experiences in various settings.Engaging with students to provide a meaningful presence in their learning.Providing current course content that supports student learning and success.Maintaining professional development and current credentials.Creating a positive learning environment focusing on safety and respect.Modeling professional practices for students.Complying with all Oregon State Board of Counseling policies.Successfully passing a criminal background check.Supporting the missions of Bushnell University and the CMHC program.Other duties as assigned.Experience and Qualification RequirementsMinimum of two years experience.Experience as a Counselor educator or teaching counseling students preferred.Holding a current Oregon LPC or LMFT license required.Current NCC or NCMHCE.Knowledge of Oregon LPC licensing standards and CACREP standards.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.Working Conditions/Special RequirementsEngagement in a Christian congregation and support for Bushnell’s Theological Context.Commitment to multiculturalism and diversity.Adherence to FERPA guidelines and student confidentiality.High personal motivation, attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.This position description is subject to change at any time.Application InstructionsBushnell University employees are expected to abide by the Theological Context for Bushnell Community Life.Required Application MaterialsFor consideration, please submit:Cover letter addressing skills and experience.CV/Resume.Personal Statement of Faith addressing three sections:Expression of faith in personal, family, and community life.Integration of faith into academic discipline.Understanding and support of Bushnell’s Theological Context.Contact information for three references.Official Transcripts (Unofficial transcripts can be submitted but official transcripts will be required if invited to interview).Please note:
