Together, we lead and leave a positive impact on societies, companies, and people around the world.You will join our Water & Wastewater Engineering DepartmentAs our new Engineer, you will be part of a team dedicated to working with industrial clients to deliver a wide range of water-related projects, which will include industrial wastewater planning and design, permitting and design for industrial storm water management, and may include water resources planning.Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:Preparing preliminary and detailed engineering design of industrial wastewater treatment systemsConducting treatability laboratory experiments, pilot scale testing, industrial field workParticipating in treatment plant operations and troubleshootingFocusing on discharge impacts on receiving water studiesSupporting wastewater and stormwater permitting effortsAssisting senior staff with preparing proposals and reportsMonitoring the construction phase of projectsSupporting stormwater management programsConducting sampling events (stormwater, wastewater) in various site settingsPerforming engineering calculationsDeveloping hydrologic and hydraulic modelsConducting travel/field work (daytime and overnight, usually in U.S.)Your starting point for constant growthRequired SkillsExcellent written and oral communicationGood time managementDetail orientedActive listenerStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesAbility and willingness to work as a responsible, independent team player in a consulting environment, including the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneouslyProficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Experience using AutoCAD is desired, but not requiredAbility to work well in a team environment with a willingness to follow detailed instructions and learn new skillsAbility to obtain Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC) needed for access to some industrial facilities.Required EducationSuccessful candidates will have an ABET accredited engineering degree in civil, chemical, environmental, or mechanical fields. Advanced degrees a plus.EIT certification preferredOn track to take PE licensure exam or existing PE licensure a plus.Required ExperienceCandidates must be willing to travel and possess a valid driver's license. Travel may include overnight stay and may be out of state or international.Valid driver's license requiredThe physical requirements of this position may include the need for climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing/sitting/walking, pushing/pulling, and lifting up to 40 lbs. In certain situations, this position may expose the candidate to extremes in weather (hot/cold); high noise levels, to hazards such as a proximity to moving machine parts and moving vehicles, electrical current and exposure to chemicals. At the time of this posting, this role is likely to be compensated at an annual base salary between $55,000 and $68,000. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range, depending on numerous factors, including experience, geographical location, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and skill level, and does not include bonuses, overtime, or other forms of compensation or benefits.All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
