About This Role:The Department of Computer Science is seeking a Research Assistant/Associate Professor, 12-month, non-tenure, term to pursue, assist with, advise, and promote research and teaching activities in artificial intelligence and data science at the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (CAIDS).

40% Pursue, assist with, and advise on research at the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (CAIDS) related to artificial intelligence and data science. Specifically, the position is responsible for initiating, implementing, and leading research in collaboration with other CAIDS faculty, assisting other CAIDS faculty with their ongoing research, and providing advice on the vision and conduct of current and future research projects.

20% Identify and pursue external funding opportunities in collaboration with CAIDS faculty.

10% Promote CAIDS research on artificial intelligence and data science through internal and external engagements.

30% Coach and co-supervise graduate students doing research on artificial intelligence and data science.

What You'll Need to Succeed:Minimum Qualifications:Requires completed coursework towards a PhD (All But Dissertation - ABD) in related area

Preferred Qualifications:PhD in related area and substantial research background in artificial intelligence and data science
