The well experienced Operations team at ZF Vernon Hills is specialized for the requirements of the Original Equipment Manufacturer Service (OES) and the Independent Aftermarket (IAM). The EHS Coordinator will be on a team of 2 that works closely with remanufacturing operations, the Distribution Center, Quality Assurance, Engineering, the regional Environmental and Health Systems Team and others to improve overall safety and to achieve environmental targets. A key to success for this role, besides being an effective communicator, is being collaborative with all teams and to foster a safety oriented culture.What you can look forward to as an EHS Specialist:Compile data for OSHA compliance to include all written programs, reporting, contractor compliance, plan documentation, training and safety records including required Key Process Indicators.Manage Workers Compensation related issues, tracking and reporting including doctor visits and follow up.Develop training programs as required (including conducting training).Coordinate site assessments/testing for all EHS related issues (ie, equipment installations, ergonomic assessments, air quality, noise monitoring, etc.)Work with suppliers for health, safety and environmental supplies.Serve as representative for Corporate/Global Safety and Health related activities and reporting.Evaluation/management of hazardous/non-hazardous materials for health risks/exposure, proper storage, waste storage, identification and manifesting for proper disposal.Coordinate Emergency Response Team including internal and external evacuations/drills.Your Profile as an EHS Specialist:Bachelor’s of Science Degree, preferably in Safety, Science or other technical field.2-5+ years of related experience.Proven knowledge of OSHA Regulations.Proficient in Microsoft Office and strong computer skills.Experience with EPA and OSHA compliance.Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills.Ability to work with cross-functional teams.Proven self-starter; takes the initiative to identify and drive change.Why you should choose ZF in Vernon Hills:Annual Incentive PlanPaid Vacation401k PlanHealth Care BenefitsPaid HolidaysA strong diversity cultureSupportive Employee Groups and community outreach activitiesBe part of our ZF team as EHS Specialist II and apply now!
