Our site creates liquid coffee extracts for Kerry customers and brands.What You'll DoResponsible for management of site health, safety, and environmental systems focusing on employee H&S and site environmental performance and improvement. As a member of the site's EHS Team, provide support and leadership to the site through implementation of EHS programs, procedures, and education initiatives focused on compliance assurance, incident reduction, and risk mitigation.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESSupport business strategy to ensure all EHS directives, policies, and initiatives are effectively incorporated at site level.Develop, implement, and execute EHS annual objectives & improvement plans in conjunction with site operations management.Develop appropriate strategies for implementation of new or revised policies and regulations in conjunction with site operations management.Assist in managing environmental permits and program requirements specific to the site.Assist in the site's ISO-14001 program including ongoing efforts to keep the site's ISO certification.Undertake regular audits/inspections of the site with site operations management to ensure compliance with corporate policies and EHS regulations. Develop appropriate corrective and preventive actions with the operations team where appropriate.Identify site EHS training needs, develop appropriate resources, and execute training sessions for employees and management staff as required.Assist in leading and overseeing the site Safety Committee meetings.Support site supervisors and managers with the investigation of EHS incidents at the site, leading the investigation process where necessary.Communicate EHS incidents and corrective actions in a timely, thorough, and effective manner.Partner with Human Resources to monitor the status of all open Workers Compensation claims and coordinate activities to minimize lost and/or restricted workdays.Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions.Assist in tracking and monitoring site EHS Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and communicate trends appropriately.Maintain EHS records to ensure adherence to corporate policies and/or regulatory requirements.Assist in the continuous improvement efforts for the site's EHS programs and performance.What You'll Need To Be Successful And SafeQUALIFICATIONSBS in Occupational Safety & Health or related field and at least one year of relevant experience OR at least 5 years of relevant experience.Knowledge of Microsoft Office Power Point, Excel, Word.EHS experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.Knowledge of EHS regulations, including OSHA and EPA. Working knowledge of local EHS regulations a plus.Kerry is an equal opportunity employer.
