Job Title : Construction Safety Manager
Location : Birmingham, ALDuration : 9 Months (Immediate Start)Type : 1099 Contractor
Compensation :
Hourly Rate : $45-$48/hr
Completion Bonus : $150/month
Pay : Weekly
Schedule :
Hours : M-F 8hr shifts
Project Scope :Concrete contractor - formwork - rebar - concrete pours
Qualifications :
Experience : Fluent Spanish speaker - 5+ years in construction safety management - experience with concrete
Certifications : Current OSHA 30 certification and/or OSHA 500
Principal Duties & Responsibilities :
Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations.
Provide safety training as needed.
Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety practices.
Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence.
Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required within the manager's skills and certifications
Skills :
Excellent public speaking and communication abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
OSHA outreach training experience is a plus.
Confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
Knowledge : Strong understanding of EHS and industry regulatory standards in construction, with the ability to communicate these effectively.
