Oct 2 2024The selected candidate will be working with a novel, next generation approach to the development of vaccines and immunotherapies targeting infectious and other immune mediated diseases. This novel and highly efficient vaccine technology – Multiple Antigen Presenting System (MAPS) – enables the high affinity binding of protective polysaccharides as well as proteins in a single vaccine, uniquely inducing a broad and protective B-cell and T-cell immune response.Within the MAPS Technology group, you will integrate with a multidisciplinary team in charge of purification, chemical modification and structural characterization of polysaccharides. You will be in close contact with experts in upstream/downstream process and various analytical technologies. Your mission will be focused on the development and execution of downstream processes in different research and development contexts (early development, processability, process development, process understanding, troubleshooting, Life cycle…).The successful candidate will report to the manager of MAPS Technology, which is part of the Microbial Drug Substance organization in Technical R&D (TRD).Responsibilities:

Lead the development of new processes and improvement of existing processes for the chemical modification and purification of polysaccharides or proteins, utilizing scientific expertise, literature reviews, and consultation with Subject Matter Experts.Offer scientific and technical expertise in biochemical and biophysical analytical methods, such as SEC-MALS, GC/MS, LC/MS, NMR, to enhance understanding of vaccine product and process.Conduct analysis, documentation, summarization, and presentation of data from process development and stability studies. Author reports for both internal and external submission, including submissions to regulatory agencies like the FDA.Understand project timelines and deliverables, support, and coordinate cross-functional activities to achieve team and company objectives.Promote the adaptation and proactive application of GxP, EHS, and QA rules.Ensure effective communication within the TRD and with external stakeholders.Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required. Why you?
