The Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager reports directly to the Plant Manager and will provide leadership to the Environmental, Health and Safety programs at the Peachtree City location. With strategic guidance from both the central EHS function and local plant manager, this hands-on leadership position will: ensure federal and local legislative compliance, develop and maintain ISO systems, develop an autonomous EHS culture, promote defined Health and Wellness programs, define EHS standard operating procedures, provide EHS training, develop risk identification and reduction awareness and methods, all achieved through participation and employee engagement.This role proactively drives awareness, communicates best practices, and implements new programs related to Safety. Work to ensure safe behavior, machinery, and regulatory compliance for EHS at the site. Lead continuous improvement of EHS Management System. Facilitates cross-site discussions, projects and best-practice sharing across other key manufacturing sites regarding EHS topics.Key Responsibilities

Ensure safe behavior, safe equipment and regulatory compliance of all outside contractors.Exhibit model behavior as related to EHS policies and practices and enforce safety rules and regulations in a manner consistent with the corporate Values and Attitudes.Proactively drive awareness and communicate best practices related to Safety, promoting an autonomous EHS culture.Develop, schedule and deliver impactful/interactive training to supervisors, employees and contractors on subjects related to EHS.Identify and champion impactful initiatives seeking continuous improvement in safety performance and environmental compliance.Continuously inspect and evaluate the environment, equipment, processes, and workplace to ensure compliance with government safety regulations, corporation and industry standards.Oversee investigations and reporting of incidents including near-miss, First-Aid and Accidents involving injuries and/or property damage and make recommendations for corrective action.Oversee and maintain site risk assessment initiatives such as Risk Assessments, NOS, etc. and develop and implement action plans.Work closely with Engineering, Maintenance and Production Departments to ensure machinery, tooling, and all equipment are safe and ergonomically sound.Lead the WCM Health & Safety Pillar.Organize, plan and supervise day-to-day EHS activities/projects to ensure that objectives are met.Develop annual EHS action plan and facility training plan.Travel, as requested, across multiple Roofing sites to gain and share best practices.Support the implementation of a formal problem solving system and supervise direct reports as assigned.Perform other related duties and responsibilities as needed and/or requested by management.Be a key member of the plant leadership team.Required Qualifications

What do you bring?Engineering, Safety Sciences or related field or in lieu of degree 7 + years' experience in an EHS role with an associate's degree.Experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong safety record and success in reducing occupational injuries and maintaining compliance with pertinent regulations.Experience with federal and state OSHA regulations and reporting.Prior supervisory experience preferred.Strong change management skills to include the implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles and concepts.Ability to organize and plan use of time and people effectively and efficiently.Ability to function, multi-task, and influence others in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written), problem solving and analytical skills.Problem solving and analytical skills to solve practical issues and deal with a variety of changing situations; Six Sigma experience is a plus.Training and experience in Lean manufacturing principles and Kaizen facilitation.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel/Word/Power point.Come be a part of our bigger purpose to change the world!Legal Statement
