When filledDetailsThe Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Utah is renowned for its robust investigative program, focusing on both clinical and translational research. The division emphasizes cutting-edge research in areas such as lung injury and repair, pulmonary inflammation, lung transplantation immunology, and stem cell biology. The investigative program is designed to foster interdisciplinary collaboration, engaging researchers and clinicians across multiple specialties to enhance the breadth and impact of their studies.In this role, the successful candidate will lead and develop cutting-edge research projects in lung transplantation immunology and pulmonary injury, advancing our understanding and treatment of these critical areas. They will engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with other researchers and clinicians, fostering a vibrant and cooperative research environment. Additionally, the candidate will contribute to the education and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows, playing a key role in shaping the next generation of medical professionals. The candidate is also expected to publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and present their findings at national and international conferences, contributing to the broader scientific community and enhancing the institution’s reputation for excellence in pulmonary and critical care research.The faculty rank (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) and track (tenure or non-tenure) for this position will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.Minimum Qualifications:

PhD, MD, or equivalent degree in related field. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present research findings at national and international conferences.Preferred Qualifications:

A strong record of peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals. Demonstrated experience in pulmonary and critical care research, with a focus on lung injury and repair, pulmonary inflammation, lung transplantation immunology, or stem cell biology.
