The NC State Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies is committed to offering a high quality undergraduate Philosophy curriculum, including a major and minor in Philosophy, that gives students an opportunity to confront a wide range of central philosophical issues. The department also offers a high-quality undergraduate Religious Studies curriculum.The Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at NC State University welcomes applications for the position of Lecturer or Assistant Teaching Professor in Philosophy during 2024/25. These are short term contract positions involving one or more courses for one or two semesters. Courses may include Introduction to Philosophy, Contemporary Moral Issues, Business Ethics, Data Ethics, Biomedical Ethics, Logic, Metaphysics, Epistemology, Philosophy of Science, and other PHI courses listed in the NC State course catalog. We may require instructors for either classroom courses or online distance education courses.Other Responsibilities:

Perform other duties as assigned by the department head.Qualifications:Minimum Education and Experience:Lecturer:

Master’s Degree in Philosophy or related field. If teaching graduate level courses, a Doctor’s Degree is required.Assistant Teaching Professor:
