Student Research Assistant - Per Diem (Multiple Vacancies)
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Student Assistant for the department of Psychiatry at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.The Department of Psychiatry (RWJMS) is seeking qualified candidates for undergraduate research assistant positions. This position would be ideal for rising Sophomores and Juniors seeking to pursue a career in medicine or biomedical research. The ideal candidate would be interested in continuing to broaden their research experience. Opportunities are for part-time research experience during the academic year and/or full-time positions in the summer. We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated individual who can, with training, independently follow and conduct clinical and/or laboratory based research protocols.Among the key duties of this position are the following:Assists with human research subject recruitment and/or pre-protocol preparatory procedures.Assists with data collection and/or data development for research studies.Accurately record all data and experiments in a lab notebook and/or in data sheets. Assists with maintaining study records and databases.Monitors and communicates with study team to ensure research protocol compliance.Assists with preparation of materials for institutional review board submissions.This position requires a fully on-site work arrangement.Minimum Education and Experience:Enrolled in undergraduate studies at Rutgers University in a relevant science major (e.g. biological sciences, psychology, neuroscience, social work, economics or similar).Physical Demands:Standing, sitting, walking, talking and hearing. Must be able to lift or exert force up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
