In the 2021 Research Excellence Framework, 88% of our research was judged to be either ‘world leading’ or ‘internationally excellent’.The School is seeking to appoint a Lecturer on a one-year fixed-term contract to cover modules across undergraduate (BA) and taught postgraduate (MA) programmes. The role will involve teaching a wide range of digital media and creative practice and scholarship. We are open to hearing from candidates with a wide range of creative and/or industry expertise. This might include but is not limited to expertise in data analytics, web and app development, graphic design, game design, immersive technology (VR/AR/MR), user-centred design, creative coding, digital and creative arts, human-computer interaction, fair and open design, and digital storytelling.Working as part of digital media and creative teams, you will be involved in designing teaching activities, delivering classes, and assessing student work. You will be expected to ensure that your teaching reflects current research and professional practice and an understanding of creative pedagogy. You will be expected to contribute to quality assurance processes, including student tracking and progression. With proven ability to teach digital media in Higher Education, you will possess the ability and experience to familiarize students with current practice across areas of digital media production, creative media, web/screen, or immersive innovation.
