Summary:The position requires a dynamic individual with a geology background and the ability to work flexible hours (but primarily Monday through Friday), and a willingness to travel periodically. The position will be extremely active and will include a variety of field assignments related to contaminated site characterization, monitoring, remediation, and office work, such as preparation of planning and reporting documents. Knowledge of environmental laws and regulations is required for higher-level position grades. The overall position requires an individual who is looking to advance their career and would like to be involved with a diversity of assignments including, but not limited to, sampling groundwater, soil, sediment, surface water, and air for environmental contaminants; gathering and recording environmental data; oversight of groundwater monitoring well installation; classifying soils; use of global positioning systems; tabulating data; and preparing work plans and field reports.The salary range for this position is $86,543-$106,880/year.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

(including but not limited to)Conducting contaminated site characterization, monitoring, and remediation field assessments safely and in accordance with work plans.Travel in aircraft (jets, small planes, and helicopters), motor vehicles, ATVs, and/or watercraft to perform fieldwork, site visits, or meetings.Field screening and sampling for contaminants and environmental parameters in a variety of media in accordance with standard operating procedures, guidance, and regulations.Oversight of installation and development of borings and monitoring/extraction wells using a variety of drilling methods (mud rotary, air rotary, sonic, and hollow stem auger).Classify soils using the USCS.Interpretation of geophysical logs.Documentation of field operations, including personnel onsite, equipment on site, weather, environmental data, and operational data using photography, neat and legible handwritten fieldnotes and forms, and tablets. Communicate with project managers using phones, email, and daily reports.Examining and inspecting work progress, equipment, and job sites to verify safety and to ensure that project specifications are met.Schedule and oversee subcontractors.Adhering to schedule and financial objectives as specified by project managers.Assist or lead the preparation of proposals, planning documents, and reports.Performing other duties as assigned by management.Level Specific Responsibilities:

(may include but not limited to)Level - IIIProvide client assistance to program and project managers; adhere to scope, schedule, and budget on projects.Maintain 2 areas of technical expertise.Lead teams performing project tasks, both in the office and field locations.Lead technical project execution and document preparation, peer review project documents.Assist with task order and project proposals.Project staffing and technical mentoring.Manage smaller projects involving site characterization, long-term monitoring, and similar tasks.20% - 40% of the time may be spent conducting fieldwork, potentially in remote locations.Minimum Qualifications:All levels:Bachelor's Degree in Geology or geological sciences.Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record, able to drive a company vehicle.Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite and databases such as Access.Adept at explaining technical aspects of fieldwork to internal and external clients verbally and in writing.Level - IIIFive (5) to Seven (7) years of relevant professional working experience, specialized training, and/or an advanced degree such as MS may be substituted for work experience.Preferred Qualifications:Proficiency in other programs such as Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, GIS, databases, and environmental modeling programs.ADEC qualified environmental professional.Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER.8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher.Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) certification.CPR/1 st
