Data Scientist

to join our team in Arlington, VA.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Analyzes complex local and wide area network systems, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media with concentrators, bridges, and other devices.Resolves difficult inter-operability problems to obtain operation across all platforms, including e-mail, files transfer, multimedia, teleconferencing and the like.Configures systems to user environments.Supports acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services.Serves as manager or industry-recognized expert.Conducts data analytics, data engineering, data mining, exploratory analysis, predictive analysis, and statistical analysis, and uses scientific techniques to correlate data into graphical, written, visual and verbal narrative products, enabling more informed analytic decisions.Proactively retrieves information from various sources, analyzes it for better understanding about the data set, and builds AI tools that automate certain processes.Creates various ML-based tools or processes, such as recommendation engines or automated lead scoring systems.Performs statistical analysis, applies data mining techniques, and builds high quality prediction systems.Should be skilled in data visualization and use of graphical applications, including Microsoft Office (Power BI) and Tableau; major data science languages, such as R and Python; managing and merging of disparate data sources, preferably through R, Python, or SQL; statistical analysis; and data mining algorithms.Should have prior experience with large data Multi-INT analytics, ML, and automated predictive analytics.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in an area related to data science from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Scientist or related role conducting data analytics, data engineering, data mining, exploratory analysis, predictive analysis, and statistical analysis.Demonstrates comprehensive mission knowledge and skills that affirm completion of all developmental training and experiences.Demonstrates ability to communicate understanding from information that may be incomplete, indirect, highly complex, seemingly unrelated, and/or technically advanced.Demonstrates ability to work independently with minimal oversight and direction.Demonstrates ability to collaborate and work with other IC members on information sharing, driving collection, and addressing analytic disputes and conflict resolution.Demonstrates ability to develop concise, insightful, and comprehensive products for defense intelligence.Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with CIA Commercial Cloud Enterprise (C2E) or NSA GOVCLOUD or other major cloud providers.Preferred Qualifications:Master’s degree in an area related to data science from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.Clearance Requirements:Active TS security clearance with immediate SCI eligibility.Physical Requirements:Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time.For all positions requiring access to technology/software source code that is subject to export control laws, employment with the company is contingent on either verifying U.S.-person status or obtaining any necessary license.
