The Department of Population Health Sciences at University of Utah Health is accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Health Policy and Economics, in collaboration with the University of Utah CTSI Health Economics Core and the Matheson Center for Health Care Studies. The primary focus of the Fellowship is on advancing research related to Medicaid, mental health care, and economic evaluation. However, other related opportunities for research will be available.The Fellowship will train fellows for independent academic research careers. Fellows are expected to collaborate on established projects and are encouraged to conduct independent research with an emphasis on study inception. Fellows will also be expected to be productive manuscript writers and apply for their own research grants.A breadth of resources and collaborative support will enable Fellows to establish and build their own research programs. For interested candidates, there are opportunities to develop qualitative as well as quantitative and statistical expertise. Salary is competitive with excellent fringe benefits.The Fellowship is supervised by Dr. Megan Vanneman and Dr. Fernando Wilson. The mentoring team has an exceptional track record of helping fellows succeed in scholarship and obtain independent funding as principal investigators of NIH and VA awards.Required Materials:

The Department of Population Health Sciences is a hub for education, investigation, and methodological expertise in population health.
