Peraton is seeking highly qualified candidates to fill SME Technology Researcher on for the upcoming

LONG-RANGE ENTERPRISE INTELLIGENCE, SURVEILLANCE, AND RECONNAISSANCE ACTIVITY

(LEIA). Positions are located both CONUS/OCONUS at the INDOPACOM HQ, and at the TSOC and other locations abroad. Peraton will deliver a broad spectrum of Command, Control, Communications, Computer, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C6ISR) capabilities to support SOCPAC missions and its AORs.The SME Technology Researcher will provide critical expertise to the Special Operations Command Pacific (SOCPAC), focusing on analyzing and improving ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) capabilities. This role requires the identification of adversaries' capabilities, Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs), emerging technologies, and trends. The SME will also recommend technologies and innovative approaches SOCPAC can implement to enhance its own capabilities and counter adversary threats.Key Responsibilities:

Conduct in-depth research and analysis of adversarial capabilities, TTPs, emerging technologies, and trends, with a particular focus on ISR platforms relevant to SOCPAC's operational environment.Evaluate SOCPAC's current ISR collection platforms, TTPs, and capabilities to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for enhancement.Develop and propose strategies, technologies, and methodologies that SOCPAC can implement to improve ISR effectiveness, counter adversaries, and address emerging threats.Stay current with global advancements in technologies (e.g., cyber, unmanned systems, AI, ISR) and assess their potential for both adversarial use and application in SOCPAC's mission.Identify and assess new technologies and techniques being used by adversaries and recommend similar or countering technologies that could benefit SOCPAC's operations.Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior SOCPAC leadership through reports, briefings, and presentations.Lead, mentor, and guide a team of analysts and researchers, fostering professional development and ensuring the team stays focused on strategic objectives.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including intelligence analysts, operations personnel, and technical experts, to integrate research findings into actionable operational strategies.Prioritize projects and provide direction to ensure the research and development team aligns with SOCPAC's strategic goals and long-term objectives.Ensure SOCPAC maintains a competitive edge in ISR collection and operational readiness by fostering innovation and staying at the forefront of technological advancements.Leadership Responsibilities:

Serve as a mentor and leader to junior team members, providing guidance, feedback, and training as necessary.Set strategic direction for the team and ensure alignment with SOCPAC's mission and objectives.Facilitate collaboration and information sharing across teams to improve knowledge transfer and effectiveness.Develop and maintain a forward-looking research agenda, identifying future technology trends and potential threats for SOCPAC's operational environment.Guide the team in aligning project priorities with emerging threats and operational needs, ensuring timely and relevant contributions to SOCPAC's mission.Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Intelligence Studies, Military Studies) or equivalent experience.Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D. Additional applicable experience may be considered in lieu of higher degree.Minimum of 10 years of experience in technology research, military intelligence, ISR operations, or a related field, with expertise in adversarial tactics and SOF operations.Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to mentor and guide teams while managing multiple priorities and projects.Proven expertise in researching adversarial capabilities, particularly in the context of ISR, cyber, and unmanned systems.Experience supporting U.S. military or government intelligence organizations, with a preference for Special Operations or ISR-related missions.Strong knowledge of ISR platforms, technologies, and TTPs, along with experience in identifying gaps and areas for improvement.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex findings and strategies to senior leadership through reports, presentations, and briefings.Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage a diverse team of technical and operational experts.Active Secret clearance.Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with SOCPAC or within the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (INDOPACOM) AOR.Familiarity with current and emerging ISR technologies, artificial intelligence, unmanned systems, and cyber capabilities.Advanced degree in a related technical or intelligence field.Special Operations experience or significant experience working with Special Operations Forces.Active Top Secret / SCI clearance.Additional Responsibilities:

Monitor and assess real-time intelligence operations across the Indo-Pacific region, ensuring SOCPAC maintains situational awareness of ongoing developments.Support post-mission analysis by compiling and analyzing intelligence collected during operations to generate actionable after-action reports.Lead intelligence-driven discussions with executive leadership, providing insights and supporting strategic decision-making related to technology investments and operational improvements.Drive technology modernization efforts within SOCPAC's intelligence processes by identifying new tools, techniques, and methodologies that improve intelligence collection and analysis.The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees. $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
