Location: Chelmsford High SchoolGeneral Description:Chelmsford High School is seeking an energetic and collaborative high school Science teacher certified in Chemistry. As the landscape of student enrollment changes, the teacher may see a variety of Chemistry course loads. The Chemistry Science teacher teaches Grade 10-12 students, working closely with the Science Coordinator and will:Utilize current Chemistry coursework pacing guides as a foundation for instruction.Actively ensure student safety through hands-on laboratory settings.Teach students how to use computer programs and hardware (i.e. Vernier, LoggerPro, etc.).Grade assignments, keep records of grades, and perform other administrative duties as needed.Create lesson plans that are standards and curriculum aligned.Utilize digital software (Google Apps for Education, ClassKick, etc.) to augment student learning.Read and stay abreast of current topics in Chemistry.Participate in Industry connections related to Innovation Pathways.Work with your coordinator to ensure initiatives are met.Support students and parents with course-related questions and issues.Perform such other tasks and assume other responsibilities as assigned.Candidates should have a strong foundation in the Science & Engineering Practices and foster a dynamic and exciting learning environment.Job Details
