Environmental & Sustainability Engineer

Position Summary:The Environmental & Sustainability Engineer is responsible for supporting the company’s overall Environmental compliance and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) efforts. This position works closely with the Manager of Environmental & Sustainability to ensure compliance and improve environmental performance.Key Position Results:Environmental compliance with applicable regulationsAccurate environmental metrics and GHG accounting in the required timeframeAnalysis and communication of environmental performance dataContinuous improvement toward company goals for environmental performanceKey Duties & Responsibilities:Provide technical support on environmental regulatory requirementsWork closely with Regional EHS Managers to ensure complianceAid in growing the Environmental knowledge of EHS personnelOwnership of Disposal Vendor Compliance ProgramSupport Product Compliance ProgramEnsure the timely and accurate collection of dataAbility to validate water and GHG calculations; GHG librarianStay up to date on emerging ESG issuesFacilitate completion of annual ESG Disclosures and annual CSR ReportTrack and provide analysis for customer ESG requests, engage with customersLeverage ISO 14001 Environmental Management System to minimize Environmental footprintCompile data for presentation in various formatsOther administrative and clerical tasksCritical Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Understanding of Environmental regulationsBasic knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks and platformsData collection and analysisProblem solving, can figure out how to get the information we need to knowProficiency in technical aspects of Environmental & Sustainability reporting softwareSound interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to establish working relationships at multiple levels of the organization quicklyComfortable performing a wide range of responsibilities, from thinking broadly to executing detailed tasksA well-organized, systematic approach to workExcellent verbal and written communication skills and a positive personalitySoftware Used:Microsoft Office Programs (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook)Environmental (GHG) Reporting Software PlatformEducation / Experience:Environmental and/or Sustainability degree, or related Engineering / Science degreeOne to three years manufacturing experience
