Hiring Full-Time Cargo Warehouse Handlers at San Francisco International Airport (SFO) - HIRING ON THE SPOT!Pay rate: $22.50/hourFree Employee ParkingFree Medical benefits for Employee + Spouse + ChildrenPaid TrainingUniform providedAll hires are required to undergo and pass security clearances, 5 years employment and educational verification, background checks, drug screen, and physical test.As a member of the Menzies Aviation Cargo Handling team, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing freight while practicing all Company’s Safety Policy including, but not limited to, wearing PPE, equipment operation, safe lifting procedures, and obeying speed limits when driving company vehicles and equipment.Key ResponsibilitiesRead air waybills, bills of lading, or freight manifests to determine the items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.Convey freight from receiving areas to storage or other designated areas with forklift or transporter.Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as consignee or destination.Sort and store dangerous goods in a proper area.Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to other locations.Open bales, crates, and other containers for breakdown. Record counts of items received or distributed.Weigh and count items for distribution within the warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards and air waybills.Perform cargo build-up and/or breakdowns, freight to and/or from skids, pallets, or ULDs.Ensure that work areas are clean and hazard-free of loose nets, straps, etc.Follow all security procedures as required.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsMust be 18 years of age or older.Possess and maintain a valid California driver's license.Must be able to pass all pre-employment testing including drug testing and a physical.Ability to proficiently read, write, and speak English.Must be comfortable lifting 70 lbs repetitively.Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.Pass FBI background and obtain US Customs Seal.Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.Prior loading and unloading of heavy products or equipment (preferred).Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to learn quickly.Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed.Strong interpersonal skills.Ability to work as part of a team.Ability to build relationships.Advancement opportunities to Lead and Supervisor.Working ConditionsThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
