Passion for our mission and vision is required!This role is part of the Blue Origin Engines business unit, focusing on the design, development, manufacturing, and testing of engines and propulsion systems. Built for multiple uses, our family of engines is powering the next generation of rockets for commercial, civil, national security, and human spaceflight.In this role, you will support the development and operations of an avionics systems integration test lab that meets Blue Origin’s needs for a variety of liquid propulsion rocket engines. The avionics subsystem includes the controller electronics, software, harness interconnects, instrumentation, and electronic exciter used on the engine for ignition and powered flight. You will support your team through the installation and operation of an Integrated Hardware-in-the-Loop (IHIL) test environment.Minimum Qualifications8+ years of relevant experienceExperience with designing, building, commissioning, and/or operating complex aerospace testing equipment (hydraulics, pneumatics, controls, safety systems, or electronics)Trained, authorized, and demonstrated proficiency to manufacture parts on the EFL equipment including:LathesMilling machinesDrill pressesSawsSandersSkilled in electrical design, fabrication, assembly, commissioning, and troubleshootingAbility to lead and mentor a team of techniciansExperience with high-pressure systems including hydraulicsAbility to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusionMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Preferred QualificationsAerospace Avionics experienceCapable of leading test teams as a Test ConductorBenefitsBenefits include: Medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability, 401(k) with a company match of up to 5%, and an Education Support Program.
