We are seeking a Generator Technician to join our Southern California division. The ideal candidate will have experience completing onsite diagnostics and repairs to ensure standby generators perform optimally.
Responsibilities
Visually inspect and diagnose propane or gasoline standby commercial generatorsConduct routine maintenance on standby generators which may include changing filters, oil changes, replacing batteries, belts, spark plugs, and other mechanical componentsKnowledge and experience about DC and AC voltage equipmentProficient troubleshooting Automatic Transfer Switches is desiredSubmit repair or service recommendations as needed to keep equipment operational in optimal conditionRead and interpret technical manuals and schematicsDrive a company vehicle and complete fleet reports as required by the departmentComplete accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performedCommunicate effectively with management, peers, and clientsMay be assigned additional duties to support the needs of the department
Requirements
A minimum of four years of recent experience in generator maintenance or a similar roleMust have a valid driver license and insurable driving recordPass a pre-employment drug testStrong understanding of electrical systemsAbility to work independently and as part of a team
Salary Description
$24 to $30 per hour DOE
