We are seeking an experienced and innovative Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AI/ML solutions, deep learning, and cloud computing. This role involves leading projects from conception to deployment, requiring a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for data-driven innovation.Key Responsibilities:Design and implement AI and machine learning solutions from initial concept to production deployment.Apply supervised and unsupervised learning techniques, such as regression, decision trees, random forests, gradient boosted decision trees (XGBoost, LightGBM), KNN, and t-SNE.Develop and optimize deep learning models using tools such as TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, or MXNet.Explore and integrate generative AI technologies such as OpenAI, Llama 2, LangChain, LlamaIndex, vector databases, and RAG applications.Utilize AWS SageMaker for scalable cloud computing and machine learning model deployment.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, formulate technical approaches, and deliver actionable insights.Maintain and manage project timelines and deliverables using JIRA.Continuously stay abreast of the latest AI/ML advancements and best practices.Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics or related field.5+ years of experience building and deploying AI/ML solutions.Strong proficiency in deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, or MXNet.Hands-on experience with generative AI technologies and vector databases.Proven track record of successful cloud computing implementation, preferably with AWS SageMaker.Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools like JIRA.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.Nice to Have Skills:Advanced knowledge of Bayesian statistics and causal inference.Experience with Docker and containerization technologies.Familiarity with Shiny and Streamlit.Experience with graph network analysis (networkx, Neo4J).PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position.Competencies:Customer Focused - Knowledgeable of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and able to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.Managing Risk - Assessing and effectively managing all of the risks associated with their business objectives and activities to ensure they adhere to and support PNC's Enterprise Risk Management Framework.Work Experience:Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 5+ years of industry-relevant experience.
