at a glance...This position is a technical role, responsible for commercializing projects across the Canada portfolio. You should demonstrate packaging leadership and have a consistent record of performing work plans and committing to results in a variety of settings. This includes analyzing data, drawing conclusions, documenting, and communicating results. Communication, teamwork, and people development are critical in this role, which operates in a cross-functional environment. Candidate will be responsible for not only packaging development, but collaborating with dedicated team and cross functional peers to implement projects, build a pipeline of projects based on feasibility, and identify enablers for future opportunities. In addition, candidate will be consulted for trouble shooting, collaborating with manufacturing facilities, quality and equipment vendors.You will report functionally to R&D packaging manager and to the dedicate team, who will arrange priorities and tasks required to commercialize the initiatives.What's on the menu?

The role includes translating the consumer/business need into products and packages that can be commercialized in a fast paced test market environment.Work closely with dedicated team to identify near and long term opportunities. Execute mid/low complexity projects in the near term, that includes repacking and alternate packages that are within capability of existing manufacturing lines.Build long term pipeline that offers unique package/product that unlocks NSV and/or cost efficiencies.Become subject matter expert for retailer requirements, distribution and instore displays and lab testing requirements.This includes understanding the business need, designing, and implementing tests, analyzing data, drawing conclusions, documenting, communicating results, and commercializing products.Proven communication and teamwork skills are critical in this role, which operates in a multifaceted and cross-functional environment.Exhibiting a collaborative attitude and applying innovative solutions are a must.Work with cross functional teams, acting as packaging lead to drive execution across multiple projects from different product categories.Build and coordinate relationships with suppliers and packaging partners to drive projects forward. Complete packaging testing, qualification and commercialization while working closely with cross-functional team members in laboratory and production environments.Translate research findings into relevant business opportunities and communicate to cross-functional teams.Adapt and apply scientific principles to new situations/products.Specification creation and updating, with attention to detail.Recipe for Success - apply now if this sounds like you!

BS/MS in Packaging, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.3-6 years of experience in Packaging Development.Proven experience in Packaging Development and commercialization (which can include internships or co-ops).Desirable attributes - Familiarity with Canada/Mount Royal business, familiarity with Meals and Sauces products and network.Strong understanding of key subject matter in areas such as packaging materials, pkg equipment/materials interaction, and packaging laboratory test methods.Excellent communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills.Ability to lead, coach and motivate others.Handle multiple assignments/tasks concurrently with ability to prioritize work.Ability to speak English is required, French speaking is a plus.Ability to travel to Canada and willingness to travel up to 30%.A propos de nousKraft Heinz est une entreprise alimentaire mondiale avec un heritage delicieux.
