Deputy SheriffThe Lynchburg Sheriff’s Office is currently accepting applications for
part-time Deputy Sheriff position(s).
These positions are part-time with an hourly pay rate of $23 per hour for certified applicants. Non-certified applicant hourly pay rate is the current minimum wage until the DCJS certification process has been successfully completed. All applicants must be a U.S. citizen, have a High School Diploma or G.E.D., and have a valid Virginia driver’s license. A

Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services Certification in Basic Jailer or Law Enforcement is preferred. Applicants are subject to a background investigation as well as a personal criminal history check.Application Process:
