Intermountain Health Research Operations Specialist

Location: Saint George, UtahThe Research Enrollment Specialist level II assists in duties and activities associated with supporting clinical research and research studies at Intermountain Healthcare. The Research Enrollment Specialist II enrolls participants in research projects and assists with other research-related study duties in various research projects that further the goals of the Investigator and the Research Department. The position communicates with research participants via in-person, phone calls, mail-outs, and the Internet.The Research Enrollment Specialist II assists in the screening of participants by assessing eligibility for research protocols and potential commitment to the project, maintaining the highest level of research participation possible. Understands and follows research protocols and provides appropriate documentation, including the collection, input, and maintenance of data in Intermountain and external databases, and works to ensure that applicable study supplies are available prior to study initiation and throughout the study period. This level functions independently under minimal supervision, following Code of Federal Regulations, Good Clinical Practice, FDA, IRB, NIH, NCI, CAP and/or other regulatory agency guidelines, and seeking guidance or clarification from the Principal Investigator or Manager as necessary. Acts as a problem solver by utilizing available resources to research, facilitate, and resolve policy and procedural issues and completes other duties as assigned (i.e., data entry, expense tracking, patient chart review, etc.).Minimum QualificationsDemonstrated understanding of research methodologies and processes.Demonstrated decision-making and problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex messages in a manner that is easily understandable.Experience using basic computer programs including word processing, database, spreadsheet applications, and email.Experience using research applications including RedCap, Clinical Trial Management Systems, IRB software, Sales Force, etc.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.Demonstrated customer service skills and attention to detail.Preferred QualificationsOne year of research experience working with human subjects.Experience working in healthcare.Physical Requirements:Interact with others requiring the employee to communicate information.Operate computers and other office equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.See and read computer monitors and documents.Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.Anticipated job posting close date:
