Manhattan, New YorkA formal household in the Upper East Side needs to hire a formally trained part-time Housekeeper/Laundress. Responsibilities include:Meticulous housekeeping – caring for antiques and fragile furnishings.Making beds and changing linens on a tri-weekly schedule.Maintaining an inventory of personal and household supplies, including day-to-day basics and specialty items, and replacing them in a timely manner.General maintenance of wardrobe (clothing, accessories, etc.), and performing seasonal wardrobe changeover.Ironing/steaming of garments and household linens.Responsible for travel packing needs, including gathering personal items, folding, and packing garments.Maintaining a clean kitchen and all appliances including stove tops and ovens.Shopping and household errands.Greeting guests appropriately.There is considerable heavy lifting required in this position. All candidates must be comfortable working in a staffed home and wearing a uniform (provided). Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday 9am - 5pm – with flexibility required. Salary range: $45-$50 an hour. Immediate start.
