The Personal and Professional Development department is seeking Noncredit Adjunct Faculty to deliver high-quality noncredit professional development courses for Lake County residents. Noncredit Adjunct Faculty may propose, design and deliver courses that support a wide variety of professional development needs.Required Qualification(s):Professional experience related to the curriculum being taughtExperience presenting to groups, teaching adults, or corporate trainingDeveloped and/or implemented training materialsAbility to work effectively and constructively with persons of diverse cultures, gender identities, language groups, and abilitiesCompetency in technologies commonly used for virtual and in-person trainingDesired Qualification(s):Relevant post-secondary degree in subject area being taughtTeaching experience in higher educationBilingual in Spanish and EnglishPosting Date:

A brief teaching demonstration will be required. This posting will be used to obtain a pool of qualified candidates. As teaching needs arise, applications will be reviewed for possible interviews. The number of adjunct faculty hired varies from semester to semester, depending upon the needs of the department. PresentationSummary of Essential Functions:Deliver training in subject fieldDevelop instructional materialsMaintain current knowledge of subject matterAdjunct Faculty members are expected to maintain current compliance training, including compliance under Title IX “Responsible Employee” and, if applicable, Clery Act Campus Security AuthoritySelect, prepare and maintain curriculum, course outlines and instructional materials (electronic and printed)Deliver training as scheduledDeliver content using a variety of teaching stylesMeet all trainings for the scheduled timeEncourage learners to submit evaluations, review evaluations when available and use feedback to improve course deliveryRevise and update training content as neededMaintain a high level of professional ethicsEnsure consistent communication with program coordinators and CLC staff to ensure student needs are met and administrative tasks are completed in a timely mannerPositions Supervised: None
