Overview:The Sr Data Scientist is a critical part of the strategic and technical roadmaps for Repair OnDemand. This role will build and train a Decision Engine to interpret data from multiple sources based on millions of expert-generated report examples. Additionally, the Sr. Data Scientist will be responsible for supporting organizational goals of increased efficiency and revenue through the creative use of machine Learning, while providing expert insights to the market and the business based on various data models and experiments.

Essential Functions:Understand Repairify’s unique business opportunities to leverage existing and incoming data to design new products, deliver capabilities, influence business decisions and help enhance the portfolio’s market valuation.Lead the identification, prototyping, and end-to-end productizing of ML/AI techniques and algorithms that result in specific action plans.Develop statistical, ML/NLP models and AI solutions to uncover unseen opportunities in existing products, solutions and business processes.Mentor and grow talented data engineers and future data scientists on the team.Collaborate with Automotive Intelligence leaders, Product Managers, and others to exploit ML/AI-driven tools and models for the advancement of the business and its strategic initiatives.Extract actionable insights from broad, open-ended questions.Design, execute, and evaluate experiments based on hypotheses and insights to provide expert recommendations, both prescriptive and directive, to meet the current needs of the market and predict future demands within the automotive sector.Analyze data across business lines to uncover trends and deliver actionable insights that inform PI and roadmap planning.Communicate findings to cross-functional stakeholders, including executive leadership, to inform product planning, organizational strategy, and business decisions.Develop tools to scale and automate analysis, improving productivity across the company.Continually enhance the work of the Data Insights team, and the realized value of their outcomes, through strong mentorship and socialization and application of best practices of the field of Data Science.

Minimum Qualifications:5+ years work experience in an analytical or quantitative role as a Data Scientist or similar title.Extensive experience generating insights using statistical techniques (e.g., regression, hypothesis testing).Demonstrated ability to clearly explain data results to cross-functional teams.Experience using a procedural programming language (e.g., Python, R) to manipulate, clean, and analyze data.Ability to exercise judgment and combine quantitative skills with intuition and common sense.Previous experience developing and working in Data Product Innovation & leveraging data science to drive revenue growth in addition to cost and time savings for the company.Course work and prior experience in data and/or text analytics, with focus on predictive models, neural networks and other ML/AI techniques.Experience developing machine learning models (specifically NLP and Decision Engine(s) or Recommendation Engine(s)/System(s)).Hands-on experience with advanced ML techniques for classification, regression, recommendations or pattern recognition.Experience gathering requirements, streamlining, designing, developing and maintaining big data pipelines to solve business challenges and monetization opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications:Masters or Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline (Machine Learning, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related disciplines).Has trained, validated, deployed and maintained ML models in production to solve NLP problems.Ability to understand complex systems and apply statistics and ML/NLP around them.Proven experience with statistical, ML/NLP Decision Engines and data mining algorithms for real-world problems.Communicates well with technical and non-technical audiences.Experience working through a full product lifecycle.Familiarity with large scale data processing systems.Strong understanding of statistical analysis and predictive modeling.Previous knowledge of automotive diagnostics and the collision industry ideal, but not necessary.
