Rasgon Laboratory

in the

College of Agricultural Sciences

at The Pennsylvania State University has multiple funded projects on mosquito-virus interactions, the use of viruses as genetic manipulation tools, the use of these techniques to investigate vector-pathogen interactions, and development of new genetic engineering technologies for arthropods and fish (zebrafish). We are looking for up to 5 postdoctoral researchers to lead these projects. This is a 100% research, 48 week appointment. This is a one-year appointment, with an additional year possible pending performance and funding availability.Responsibilities:

Postdocs will lead the projects, including performing experiments, providing guidance and mentoring for undergraduates and graduate students, data analysis, manuscript writing, data integrity, and obtaining additional funding.Education and Experience:

Must have a PhD in Entomology, molecular biology or related field, and must have experience with one or more of the following techniques and technical areas: Mosquitoes, infecting mosquitoes with pathogens, CRISPR and other genetic manipulation techniques, molecular biology, virology, microbiology. The successful candidate must have completed all degree requirements by the appointment date.Application Requirements:
