- Based on Experience and Education.Essential FunctionsEngage students by planning, preparing, and implementing evidence-based and coherent instruction.Assess student's social emotional and academic progress on a regular basis.Plan, write, and implement a therapeutic Individualized Education Plan (IEP) for assigned students.Maintain the classroom environment by using strategies that support healing, recovery and resist re-traumatization.Work with parents, staff, guardians, and other stakeholders to assess and modify services to meet student needs.QualificationsIllinois LBS1 approved for Special Education.
