Team Lead, Cardiac Echocardiographer
for the Cardiac service line non-invasive lab. This is a full time, day shift position in Harrisonburg, Va.About the position:Performs cardiac echocardiography of the heart and associated structures using routine and advanced technical skills. Participate in the professional development of staff and students. Assist Cardiology Director with daily operations, coordination of work, achievement of department goals and objectives. Serve as technical resource for other department personnel.Knowledge of Echocardiography equipment. Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS) required.Hours : Monday - Friday, day shift, with call every 7th week to include the weekend. The echocardiographer is off the preceding Friday and following Monday of their call weekend. Specific exams include: adult 2D and 3D transthoracic and transesophageal echo, myocardial strain, contrast (DEFINITY), agitated saline (bubble study), exercise stress echo and dobutamine stress echo. Preliminary reports are generated in ProSolv (Structured Report SW Application). Clinical equipment include state of the art Philips Epic ultrasound systems and EPIC (electronic medical record). Both inpatient and outpatient echo services are located on the Sentara RMH Medical Center main campus within the non-invasive cardiology lab.The

echocardiography lab is considered high volume with close to 9,500 procedures performed annually. The lab works closely with our invasive cardiology (structural heart, electrophysiology, diagnostic/interventional cath) and cardiothoracic surgery services.Requirements :1 year of experience.
Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS) required.
High School Diploma required, Associate Degree preferred
