Join the forefront of groundbreaking research at the
Beckman Research Institute
of City of Hope, where we're changing lives and making a real difference in the fight against cancer, diabetes, and other life-threatening illnesses. Our dedicated and compassionate faculty and staff are driven by a common mission: Contribute to innovative approaches in predicting, preventing, and curing diseases, shaping the future of medicine through cutting-edge research. The laboratories of Drs. Bin (Amber) Zhang and Guido Marcucci in the Department of Hematological Malignancies and Translational Sciences are looking for highly motivated and creative
Postdoctoral Fellow . You will join a well-established group focused on conducting and completing projects leading to publications in high-impact journals. Our labs have been focused on exploring the molecular mechanisms of leukemogenesis and evolution, discovery of novel therapeutic targets, and development of novel therapeutic strategies, including novel antibodies and CART cells, in acute myeloid leukemia (AML), chronic myeloid leukemia (CML), and acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL).As a successful candidate you will:
Lead projects by designing and performing experimental proceduresManage data, analyze, and report findingsWrite scientific papers and grantsWork with PI and other team members to perform experiments in vitro and in vivoIn vitro skills:Cell culture, RNA/DNA extraction, protein extraction, western blot, immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescence, RT-qPCR, seahorse assay, lentivirus production and cell transduction, ELISA, CART production, CRISPR/Cas9 technologyIn vivo skills:Routes of drug administration: oral gavage, intraperitoneal, retro-orbital, subcutaneous, or tail vein injectionsTissue collection: blood collection, organ harvesting (spleen, bone marrow, liver, etc.)Qualifications
