Job Summary
As a
Chef / Cafe Manager,
you will be part of an exceptionally ambitious team in Wilmington, DE! This unique opportunity allows you to lead and innovate within a world-class culinary and food service operation ensuring customer service standards of excellence are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Full culinary management of food service operation to include inventory, ordering, and receiving
Manages a Starbucks Cafe operations
Customer Service focused on ensuring the standards of excellence are met
Operational knowledge of cash handling procedures and food service equipment
Knowledge of P&L accountability and strive for detailed contract-managed service execution
Efficiently develop menus, control costs, purchase ingredients, and manage inventory, with a strict focus on sourcing and using local food products.
Determine and pursue sustainability initiatives with passion and dedication
Performs other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
Three years of culinary management experience in contract food service, fine dining setting, or restaurant with inventory and purchasing knowledge and control
Café management experience preferred
Extensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
Cleanliness and customer service are key to this role
Experience with exposition cooking needed
Knowledge of P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience is desirable
ServSafe certification is a plus
