Job descriptionAtlantic Quantum is seeking a research scientist for our quantum processor measurement effort. You will be working closely with our software and hardware teams to build measurement infrastructure and perform superconducting circuit characterization and calibration. Your tasks will include:Tuning up, characterizing, and operating high-fidelity quantum processorsDeveloping new superconducting circuit architecture primitivesDeveloping control software for automated calibrationAtlantic Quantum believes that fault-tolerant quantum hardware is the key to making progress in quantum computing. We offer flexible work in a fast-moving start-up environment, with strong ties to world-class academic research.Required QualificationsPhD in Physics, Electrical engineering, software engineering, or related engineering discipline. Alternatively, BSc or MSc in one of these fields and at least three years of work experience.Research or industry experience in superconducting circuit measurement.High proficiency in Python or in a similar high-level programming language.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Agile development in general and Atlassian’s Agile software suite in particular.LocationCambridge, MA, USA.Salary and BenefitsCompetitive compensation, health insurance, flexibility on vacation.RequirementsCandidates must be legally authorized to work in the US.
