Join us, and you could be one of them.About the Role:The Health & Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring appropriate support to different functions of the executive business including Industrial, Supply, R&D, and Commercial offices for Ferrero USA, in order to apply and control general policies regarding improvement of safety and health of the personnel at the working place. And ensure interpretation of safety standards at work and verify implementation.Main Responsibilities:Ensure working conditions meet appropriate Health & Safety standards.Ensure the management of the necessary Health & Safety documentation for external agencies, firms, Government bodies, etc.Monitor adherence to work safety standards and procedures and monitor remediation to identified deviation within the production unit.Ensure danger identification (chemical, physical, biological, psycho-social) and risk assessment.Ensure individualization of measures for safety and health of work environments according to local enforcement laws.Ensure appropriate support in order to apply and control general policies, including company policies, regarding improvement of safety and health of the personnel at the working place, according to Group guidelines.Receive guidelines and promote editing and updating of operative local working instructions and local procedures applied in working areas. Monitor that work procedures and instructions follow periodical inspections.Propose training plans for employees in relation to topics concerning risks, safety, and health.Collaborate with technical and general services during design, purchasing, installation of machines and equipment.Work together with the technical staff on completing the necessary paperwork (practices) concerning inspections and controls, licenses, facilities' declaration, in accordance with the law.Maintain relations with concerned public authorities, collaborate during inspections and periodical visits of working areas.Ensure support for accident notifications.Provide technical support in a context of potential criminal and civil cases.Ensure consultation in interpretation and application of H&S mandatory laws.Ensure updates on new H&S mandatory laws.Ensure analysis of accidents and reports.Ensure periodical reporting on H&S KPI's.Collaborate with the competent medical staff on analysis of problems and medical surveillance planning concerning accidents, work environment, and ergonomics.Maintain environmental compliance as per local legislation and Ferrero Group requirements.Monitor environmental data (energy consumption, waste metrics, water consumption).Local and national environmental reporting.Who we are looking for:4-7 years of experience.Experience with FDA and Quality System rules, regulations, including planning and implementation.Experience managing environmental programs (ISO-14001).Auditing experience - Internal Auditing, Lead Auditing.Knowledge of Federal Environmental Regulations.Ability to take initiative and to maintain confidentiality.Knowledge of the Spanish language helpful, but not required.Additional hours including weekends may be required during peak seasons.Ability to set and achieve goals.Ability to lead and influence others.Ability to problem-solve and set priorities.Ability to work effectively with others.Ability to communicate effectively one-on-one and in groups (including written).Ability to develop effective long-term relationships.Ability to work with data and develop effective presentations.Advanced Excel and PowerPoint Skills.This role will be based in Somerset, but requires weekly travel to our Parsippany office at least once a week.Diversity Statement:Ferrero is committed to building a diverse and inclusive culture in which all employees feel welcomed and appreciated and have the same opportunities.
