The University of Kentucky seeks an Assistant, Associate, or Professor in Lexington, KY to provide care services in the Pediatric Genetics/Metabolic division. This position requires an MD, DO or the foreign equivalent, completion of residency in Pediatrics or internal medicine, and fellowship for clinical and/or biochemical genetics. This position is needed in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Genetics and Metabolism in order to achieve the goals and objectives of the Division, Department and College in education, service and research consistent with the mission of the University Of Kentucky College Of Medicine.The faculty member will organize and supervise clinical services for genetic, dysmorphic or metabolic problems occurring in children and adults. The services will be provided in the Kentucky Clinic, the Kentucky Children’s Hospital and outreach clinics.Kentucky Children’s Hospital has Eastern and Central Kentucky’s only Level I pediatric trauma center, Level IV newborn (neonatal) intensive care unit and pediatric intensive care unit. The hospital has more than 30 advanced sub-specialty programs, such as pediatric oncology and pediatric surgery. The Division works with the Kentucky Department of Health, Division of Newborn Screening to provide follow up for biochemical disorders suspected on the basis of universal infant blood spot screening. Staff Members include physician, nurses, therapeutic dietitian, lab specialists, genetic counselors, staff coordinators and often physicians in training.To apply:
